In 2014 we had acquired a brand new 2012 Flagstaff 831FLSS 34' travel trailer to live in during the winter months down in California and Arizona.  I had retired from my day job in the beginning of 2015 and we hauled the trailer south each November and back home in March or April.  Tired of hauling trailers back and forth, in January we purchased a 38' fifth wheel in Needles Ca and parked it permanently in the RV resort we were staying in.

Our 1995 Nomad Skyline we had bought the year we purchased the farm was showing it's age so we decided to retire it.  While still serviceable, this was it's 12th season and it was dated.

We pulled the new trailer north in early summer.  With my buddies help we unhooked everything on the old trailer and pulled it out of it's permanent location.  It was a bit tricky but Glenn manhandled the new trailer into position with his John Deere skid steer.  Once we were happy with where it was sitting, we levelled it.  Then we hooked up the sewage and electrical.  The final task was to reposition the door steps on the deck as they were a bit out of line with the new trailer doors.

We transferred everything from the old trailer to the new trailer,  Once done, it was time to prepare it for its trip into town and the auction.  Sad to see it go but it served us well for 12 years.

The alfalfa did very well again this year giving us lots of bales.

Finally had to retire our old Champion 4000 generator.  We had been backing it up with a couple of 2000 Hondas but had been finding that we'd be running both most of the time to keep up with our power demands.  Decided to try a Firman 3300 watt with remote starting.  Also picked up a Firman 2200 to back it up.

Hauling water had always been an issue with us.  We had been either hauling 5 gal. jerry cans from home or filling them at the town water station in Fairview or Hines Creek.  The opportunity came up to purchase a dedicated water trailer so we took it.  Now we could haul 1,000 litres at a time rather than 20 litres.

There was also an old broken down corral and loading chute in the northeast corner of our property.  We took the time this year to tear it all down and haul the rubble away.

Lots of rain through spring and into early summer.  We had cleaned out all the obstructions out of the creek around the bridge we had built so no problem for us.  Glenn next door wasn't so fortunate.  Between the beavers in the creek and downstream obstructions, the creek backed up to his place.  His garden was flooded and the bridge right behind his place was washed out.  Fortunately, his cabin high on the bank was not affected..

2019 was a very successful year for the hunters around us..

Finally had a cow elk give birth to a calf on our property.  Even though there have always been elk living here, the cows have always moved elsewhere to have their calves.  We've been hoping a herd establishes itself here so this is a very good sign.  Also had a fair amount of grizzly activity,  First time we've caught a grizzly cub on the game cameras as well.
