Quiet year.  The most exciting farm event was my neighbour Ron haying my pasture.  The pasture had been seeded to alfalfa for a couple of years now and we were starting to get decent growth.  Ron got 58 bales of which 1/3 or 19 were mine.  Worth about $900 so starting to get a little bit back.

Another auction at Michener Allen.  However, this one was in Edmonton and we were on the lookout for another side x side.  They had a couple of decent Canam Commander 1000's so we pulled the pin and put in the winning bid for one.  We put in on a trailer and hauled it north to check it out and put it through it's paces.  The machine was solid, mechanically it was excellent and other than being a little tough to get an old body in and out of the low-slung seats the buggy was very comfortable to ride in.  However, the 1000 cc's were a bit over-the-top for a bush machine.  Overall though, we were happy with our acquisition.
